Roberto Henriquez Tierra de Pumas

Roberto Henriquez Tierra de Pumas

Grape
Pais (200 year old vines)

Region
Bio Bio Valley (Chile)

What makes it special
Produced with grapes from 200-year-old vines, the oldest pre-philoxera vines in the Americas. Do we need to say more?

Following organic practices, the dry-farmed grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with ambient yeast. The result is a wine that’s both rustic and elegant. It’s light-bodied with fresh cherry and raspberry flavors, balanced acidity, pronounced earthy notes, and dry, dusty tannins on the finish.

What makes it special

Why are Dominus wines famous? Because the winemaker Christian Moueix also makes the wines at Petrus. Yes, that Petrus.

This is what James Suckling has to say about it: “An open and beautiful wine with green-olive and currant aromas and flavors. Some bark and earth, too, together with mushrooms, herbs, crushed stones, and pomegranate. Medium to full body with round, creamy tannins and refined finish. Blood orange at the end. Crunchy. So drinkable now, but will age beautifully.
