Chateau Camou
The vineyard is located in a property known as “La Cañada del Trigo.” Its unique geographic location is what makes their wines stand out. The vineyard is located in a small canyon surrounded by hills on three sides, and it has its own water source which flows down from Tecate and feeds two wells in the property.
The soil is mostly clay-based and stony and doesn’t have the high mineral concentrations that are found in other parts of Guadalupe Valley. This unique microclimate and access to the most precious resource in the valley (water!) create the perfect conditions for the production of some of the best wines in Guadalupe Valley.
