Distinto Tempranillo Merlot 2019

MXN $475

Grape: 66% Tempranillo, 34% Merlot

Appellation: Guadalupe Valley, Mexico

Region: Baja California, Mexico

You’ll taste/smell: Ripe plums on the nose with spices, vanilla, cacao and hazelnuts. This beautiful ruby red wine has pleasant marked tannins with raspberries, lavender and smokey notes on the palate. The balanced acidity and a structured medium-body makes this Mexican red wine a crowd-pleaser

Good to have it with: roasted pork belly tacos, carnita or cochinita pibil tacos, ribs, if you are feeling vegeterian try a stuffed pepper with cheese and tomatoes

The Winery: Vinos Expresión

Mexican Winery founded by three 23-year-old students driven by the taste and love for wine. In spite of not owning their own machinery, they started making wine by renting spaces in different vineyards. In 2010 they make their first Distinto-Merlot barrel.

“Distinto” has two labels with little explored blends that invite to live and drink the wine in a different way, avoiding the clichés that surround the world of wine. “Distinto” represents a new way of drinking and understanding wine with a modern concept.
