The Producer: Agricola Ficomontanino

Agricola Ficomontanino sits in the hills near the ancient town of Chiusi, where Tuscany, Lazio, and Umbria meet. Once an olive farm and horse retreat, the estate revealed traces of ancient terraced vineyards hidden in the landscape — inspiring the Gianelli family to bring vines back to life on this historic land. Today, winemaker Maria Sole Gianelli leads the project, shaping expressive wines that reflect the quiet energy of this lesser-known corner of Italy.

Guided by her studies in natural and biodynamic farming, Maria Sole works in harmony with the land, following lunar cycles and using gentle, low-impact methods in both vineyard and cellar. The result is a small, thoughtful collection of wines that feel deeply connected to their place — vibrant, honest, and full of character.
