Mancura Guardian Reserva Pinot Noir 2019

MXN $315

Grape: Pinot Noir

Region: Casablanca Valley, Chile

You’ll taste/smell: skip the Concha y Toro wines you see everywhere. This is the Chilean Pinot Noir you want to drink, the delicate flavor of maraschino cherries and wild strawberries are the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It’s hard to put down. It’s light and perfect on the tongue and offers wave after wave of pure Pinot character.

Good to have it with: ideal to accompany oily fish, such as cod and sea bass; also hams, pastas, fresh cheeses (maybe a crumbly cotija cheese) and creamy soups.

The Winery: Mancura wines

Mancura, the Chilean wine label, is one of those brands that give a lot of respect and love to their history & origin. Mancura is known for being the first winery in Chile to get sustainability certification in all areas of viticulture and vineyard practices. The region of Central Valley in Chile, where this winery is located, is quite close to the Andes Mountains. It enjoys the warmth of the sun during the daytime and fresh breeze from seas during nights.

Mancura Winery is located in the Cachapoal Valley. What blows your mind away upon visiting the winery and the cellar is the modern architecture and state-of-the-art technology used here to retain the original flavor and character of the fruits.
