Domaine Delaporte Chavignol Sancerre Rosé 2021

MXN $1050

Grape: 100% Pinot Noir

Appellation: Sancerre AOP

Region: Sancerre France

You’ll taste/smell: Fruit-packed, it exhibits the best characteristics of a young Sancerre rosé, with raspberry and wild peach aromas. Full and round in the mouth, it opens up gradually, with a fresh liveliness being tempered by a hint of tannins. It finishes on fruity notes (black currant, raspberry) with a long, pretty aftertaste of citrus fruits.

Good to have it with: it’s excellent as an aperitif in the summer, it can also be paired with pastrami or cold cuts, spicy dishes, paella, and summer specialties.

The Winery: Domaine Delaporte

Located in the heart of the Sancerre region, Domaine Delaporte is a family business that has been passed from father to son since the 17th century. The Domaine is found in the beautiful village of Chavignol, which is renowned for the goat cheese Crottin de Chavignol. Since 2010, Vincent Delaporte’s grandson, Matthieu Delaporte, has been focused on further improving the Domaine’s wine. Precision, balance, and complexity are the maxims of the Domaine Delaporte cuvées, with each delivering a strong sense of individual terroir, marked by considerable minerality, power, and freshness.
