You’ll taste/smell: This is the Italian version of Champagne!

It stays for 30 months resting on it’s lees prior to bottling, made in the same method as champagne, using the same grapes for champagne. The Italians wanted a high quality sparkling wine and achieve a wonderful one.  Beautiful bubbles, soft and continuous, with a good consistent foam. It’s complex, fruity, and with those brioche-ey notes typical of champagne. If you want to try something different definetely worth to try.

Good to have it with: light appetizers, pasta and risottos, delicate white meat, fish and cheese.

Ronco Calino’s Franciacorta DOCG Brut is obtained from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir grapes, harvested by hand in the second decade of August, with careful selection of the bunches before soft pressing.

The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 15-16 °C. A small part of Chardonnay (about 20%) ferments in French oak barrels. The second fermentation is carried out through the Metodo Classico dictate and the wine completes its aging on the lees for at least 30 months before disgorgement.

Aging: 3-4 years after purchasing
