You’ll taste/smell: Pretty gold color, delicate, fine and mineral, the 1er Cru Montmains will convince with its elegance and complexity. Its aromas are now fully expressed, it will seduce by its amplitude and flexibility and can be served relatively quickly. The very stony soil of Butteaux gives the wine pronounced mineral aromas: powerful and fine “chiseled” wine with a very broad mid-palate.

Good to have it with: It goes wonderfully well with oysters, pan-fried scallops, sweetbreads, white meat and fish in sauce.

Best to have it: 50-57ºF, 10-14ºC

Planted here are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, and all the wines are produced in limited quantity and low yields. It is Domaine de Mauperthuis’ mission to provide excellent wines reflecting their commitment to the land and the people working behind the labels.
