Pinot Grigio Pierpaolo Pecorari 2022

MXN $495

Grape: 100% Pinot Grigio

Appellation: Venezia Giulia IGT

Region: Fruili- Venezia Giulia, Italy

You’ll taste/smell: when you think Italian white wine, Pinot Grigio is always the first that comes to mind and with good reason! this Pinot grigio is a more refined version, light body, nice acidity and delicate citrus notes.

Good to have it with: basically you can’t go wrong with any fish dish here, but if you want to be creative try ricotta filled pasta shells; fresh mozzarella, pears, and roasted almonds or how about sushi!

The Winery: Azienda Agricola Pierpaolo Pecorari

Wine production, entwined with ancestral heritage, found a modern expression in the Azienda Agricola Pierpaolo Pecorari. Nestled in San Lorenzo Isontino, Friuli Venezia Giulia, this winery is a testament to the evolution of viticulture. Pierpaolo Pecorari, alongside his son Alessandro, oversees 30 hectares of vineyards in prime locations such as Kolaus, Olivers, and Soris. Cultivating varietals like Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Merlot, Friulano, and others, the winery has embraced organic certification since 2007. It crafts wines across three distinct lines: “Varietale”, “Altis”, and “Riserve”, featuring acclaimed selections such as “Altis Pinot Bianco” and “Kolaus Sauvignon”. This progression mirrors the broader narrative of viticulture’s return to its roots while adopting a pioneering approach to quality, marking a new chapter that began with the renewal of vineyards in the very areas now celebrated in their premium wines.
