Wine Details – Riofavara ‘Mizzica’ Moscato Bianco di Noto
Aging/ Vinification: This is a fully dry wine made from destemmed grapes that are gently pressed to preserve freshness and purity. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel over approximately 15 days, followed by seven days of lees stirring to build texture and complexity. The wine is then cooled to 10°C to naturally settle before aging for six months in stainless steel and an additional three months in bottle, ensuring a fresh yet well-balanced final profile.

The Producer: Riofavara
Riofavara is a family-run estate located in Sicily’s sun-drenched Noto Valley, where vines have been cultivated for nearly a century. Since the early 1990s, the Padova family has focused on bottling wines that truly reflect their land, led today by a new generation committed to precision, sustainability, and authenticity.
Deeply rooted in organic farming, Riofavara goes beyond standard certifications, following strict environmental practices to protect their vineyards and express the character of the region. Their wines showcase a fresher, more mineral side of Sicily, shaped by limestone-rich soils and a thoughtful, low-intervention approach in the cellar.
