Philippe Sochelau took a massive gamble back in 2001, when he ripped up their Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc vines in favor of lesser known Chenin Blanc ones. The bold move paid off and nowadays they are producing some of the top Chenin in the region.
Located between the Loire and Layon, Le Domaine des Deux Vallées produces a wine precisely matched to the quality of the soils on which its vines flourish: Saint Aubin de Luigné, Rochefort sur Loire, Chaume and Savennières.
