The people behind the bottles
Uncork Mexico started in 2017 with a simple idea:
wine shopping in Mexico could be a lot more interesting.
We're Vanusa and Natalia, two wine-obsessed friends who happen to run the whole thing ourselves. We choose the wines, taste them, talk to producers and importers, answer your messages, deal with logistics — and, yes, occasionally spend way too much time dealing with taxes.

Natalia
Natalia is an architect by training and a wine obsessive by choice.
Originally from Guadalajara, she spent a decade in New York, where she took wine classes and tasted her way through an unreasonable number of bottles.
She's always looking for something that breaks the pattern — an unfamiliar grape, an overlooked region, a producer doing things differently or simply a wine that makes you stop after the first sip and think, “Wait, what is this?”
Her philosophy is simple: the weirder, the better.
Natalia's Current Obsession
Vanusa
Born in Brazil, Vanusa moved to Brooklyn in her twenties to study Literature. Wine gradually became part of her life, eventually becoming the thing she wanted to spend her days talking about.
She's particularly drawn to wines with freshness, personality and a strong sense of place. She has a weakness for Italian wines (and food, and the language), so she takes special pride in Uncork's Italian selection.
Outside of wine, you'll usually find her spending quality time with her cats, listening to Brazilian music or playing beach volleyball.
